A meeting between the Council of Junior Engineers (JEs), PSEB (Regd.), and Power Management was held under the chairmanship of the CMD/PSPCL. The management was represented by Director/Finance, Director/Distribution, Director/Commercial, Director/Administration, Director/HR, Chief Engineer/P&M, SE/Personal, SE/HRD-1, Manager/IR, and other relevant officers. This information was shared with the press by Eng. Amandeep Jehlvi, State General Secretary.
Eng. Davinder Singh (Patron), Eng. Paramjeet Singh Khattara (State President), and Eng. Amandeep Jehlvi (State General Secretary) jointly stated that the JE Council leadership presented key demands during the meeting. The Power Management approved the demand to provide laptops to field JEs and committed to developing an application within 15 days for issuing “Permit to Work” online. Additionally, the administration agreed to seriously consider other demands, including granting JEs the initial pay scale based on the 6th Pay Commission, reinstating the time-bound promotion scale for the JE cadre under Finance Circular 10/16, providing 23-year advance increments to eligible employees prior to 01-08-18, reviewing special/field allowances through the newly formed Wages Formulation Committee, ensuring uniformity in special allowances for JEs/AEEs at headquarter offices, increasing the 30-liter petrol expense limit, initiating recruitment for posts below Assistant Lineman, reviewing staffing norms of the P&M organization, finalizing reports of the No. 2 committee, expediting promotions from Assistant Engineer to Assistant Executive Engineer, reducing the time gap under Regulation 10.1, increasing the promotion quota for Assistant Engineer to Assistant Executive Engineer on the lines of the Punjab Government, finalizing field-related issues committee reports within 15 days, and halting privatization in Kharar, Lalru, and other circle offices. The management assured swift implementation of these demands.

The Central Working Committee of the JE Council will review the outcomes of this meeting during its session scheduled for June 14, 2025, in Ludhiana (Sahnewal).
