Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO administered the oath of office to Er. Ravinder Singh Saini, who was appointed as a Member of the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) by the Punjab Government. The solemn ceremony took place at Punjab Bhavan in Chandigarh.
Minister’s Remarks
Speaking to the media after the oath-taking ceremony, Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO highlighted Er. Saini’s extensive experience and deep understanding of Punjab’s power sector. He expressed confidence that Saini’s appointment would significantly enhance the PSERC’s operations. “With the Commission now at full strength, it will be better equipped to ensure fair regulations, promote transparency, and protect the interests of consumers, utilities, and stakeholders,” the Minister stated. He further noted, “Saini’s exemplary contributions to the power sector will undoubtedly boost the Commission’s regulatory efficiency.”

The Minister emphasized that the appointment reflects the Punjab Government’s commitment, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, to strengthen institutions and ensure efficient governance in the power sector. With Saini’s technical expertise and practical experience, the PSERC is expected to deliver timely, consumer-centric decisions, aligning with the government’s vision of providing reliable and affordable electricity to Punjab’s residents.
