Punjab Pavilion Stands Out as Most Vibrant

Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora led a delegation to the World Food India 2025 event at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, where a Punjab State Knowledge Session was held under the theme “Flavouring the Future: From Farm Gate to Global Plate – Unlocking Opportunities in Agro-Food Business.” The event was organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Arora highlighted Punjab’s immense potential in agriculture and the vast opportunities in its food processing industry. He emphasized the state government’s investor-friendly policies, urging investors to explore opportunities in Punjab. Arora assured that all necessary clearances for setting up industries in the state would be provided within 45 days. He also announced the formation of an independent committee on food processing to develop a new industrial policy.
Arora further stated that entrepreneurs interested in investing in Punjab would receive full support from the government. He underscored Punjab’s potential to emerge as a global hub for the agro-food business, driving growth from local farms to international markets.
The Punjab delegation held discussions with representatives from prominent organizations, including Lulu Group (UAE), Ziak Group (Russia), NCML, Jafza, Allonsons, Bitzer, Haldiram, and Bikaner, all of whom expressed keen interest in investing in Punjab.

Union Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan visited the Punjab Pavilion and praised the impressive showcase of Punjab’s products. He also committed to visiting Punjab in the near future.
The event saw participation from key officials, including Rakhi Gupta Bhandari (IAS), Kamal Kishor Yadav (IAS), Administrative Secretary of Industries and Commerce, Amit Dhaka (IAS), CEO of Invest Punjab, Seema Bansal, Vice-Chairperson of Punjab Development Council, and the KPMG team.
