Big Relief for NRIs and Air Travelers as Punjab Adds Premium Volvo Buses to Delhi Airport Route

Chandigarh, June 9

In a major boost to Punjab’s public transport system, Punjab Finance and Transport Minister Harpal  Cheema flagged off five new Super Integral Volvo coach buses of Punbus on Tuesday. These luxury coaches will operate between Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in New Delhi.

The initiative aims to provide safe, comfortable, and affordable travel for international passengers, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and regular commuters while further strengthening Punjab’s transport network.

Addressing the gathering,  Cheema said that the new airport bus service would greatly benefit travelers and help eliminate the influence of transport mafias operating on the route. He emphasized that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, remains committed to improving public transport and ensuring better services for citizens.
