Free Bank PO and LIC/GIC Coaching for SC, OBC and Minority Youth Announced by Punjab Government

In a major initiative to enhance career opportunities for youth from Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Minority Communities, the Punjab Government has announced free coaching for the Probationary Officer (Bank PO) and Assistant Administrative Officer (LIC/GIC) Examinations 2026. The programme aims to help eligible candidates prepare for these prestigious competitive examinations without the financial burden of costly coaching classes.
Sharing the details, Punjab’s Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities, Dr. Baljit Kaur, stated that the initiative is designed to provide deserving youth with quality coaching, expert guidance, and equal opportunities to build successful careers in the banking and insurance sectors.
The Minister emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government remains committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent talented youth from accessing career opportunities. The Government is dedicated to providing every deserving candidate with the support needed to achieve their full potential.
Dr. Baljit Kaur said, “Talent should never be limited by financial hardship. Our Government is committed to equipping deserving youth with the guidance, resources, and opportunities necessary to excel in competitive examinations and achieve their career aspirations.”
The coaching programme will be conducted at the Ambedkar Institute of Careers and Courses, Phase-3B2, SAS Nagar (Mohali). Graduates who are permanent residents of Punjab and belong to SC, OBC, or Minority communities are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a total annual family income from all sources not exceeding ₹3 lakh.

Selection will be based on an objective-type entrance test covering General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and Current Affairs. The test is scheduled for July 3, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Ambedkar Institute of Careers and Courses, Phase-3B2, Mohali.
Interested candidates must submit their applications, along with self-attested copies of all required documents, to the office of the Principal, Ambedkar Institute of Careers and Courses, Mohali, by June 30, 2026. Applications may also be submitted via email at ambedkarinstitute013@gmail.com.
