Chandigarh, September 2
The Punjab Government has ordered the transfers and postings of 20 police officers, including eight IPS officers and 12 PPS officers, with immediate effect on administrative grounds.
According to orders issued by the Department of Home Affairs, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, IPS (SPS:2004), who was awaiting posting, has been posted as IGP Border Range, Amritsar, replacing Sh. Harmanbir Singh, IPS.
Harmanbir Singh, IPS (SPS:2010), presently DIG, Border Range, Amritsar and Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, has been posted as Commissioner of Police, Amritsar.
Among other major changes, Bhagirath Singh Meena, IPS, SSP Mansa, has been posted as AIG, Personnel-1, CPO Punjab, replacing Suhail Qasim Mir, IPS. Varun Sharma, IPS, SSP Patiala, has been transferred as SSP SAS Nagar, while Harman Deep Singh Hans, IPS, SSP SAS Nagar, has been posted as SSP Patiala.
Suhail Qasim Mir, IPS, AIG Personnel-1, CPO Punjab, has been posted as SSP Bathinda, replacing Jyoti Yadav, IPS. Jyoti Yadav has been posted as Commandant, 82nd Battalion PAP, Chandigarh, replacing Balwinder Singh, PPS.

The government has also issued transfer orders for 12 PPS officers.
Harkamalsheet Singh Khakh, PPS, presently AIG NRI, Jalandhar, along with additional charge as Commandant ISTC, Kapurthala and Commandant 7th Battalion PAP, Jalandhar, has been posted as SSP Malerkotla, replacing Gurmit Singh, PPS.

Balwinder Singh, PPS, Commandant 82nd Battalion PAP, Chandigarh, has been posted as AIG, Law & Order, Punjab, against a vacant post.
Daljinder Singh Dhillon, PPS, SSP Pathankot, has been transferred as Zonal AIG, CID, Jalandhar, replacing Rajeshwar Singh, PPS. Rajeshwar Singh has been posted as Commandant, 7th Battalion PAP, Jalandhar.
Manpreet Singh, PPS (DR), SP Investigation, Sangrur, has been posted as SSP Pathankot.
Harpal Singh, PPS, who was under transfer as DCP Investigation, Jalandhar, will continue as DCP Investigation, Ludhiana.
Parvinder Kaur, PPS (DR), SP PBI Tarn Taran, has been posted as ADCP Special Branch, Amritsar, replacing Harpal Singh, PPS.
Harpal Singh, PPS, ADCP Special Branch, Amritsar, has been posted as AIG CID, Amritsar, against a vacant post.
Talwinder Singh Gill, PPS (DR), under transfer as SP Cyber Crime-I, Punjab, has been posted as SP Intelligence Wing, Punjab, SAS Nagar.
Ramandeep Singh, PPS, under transfer as SP Headquarters, Hoshiarpur, has been posted as SP Traffic, SAS Nagar, replacing Navneet Kaur Gill, PPS (DR).
Navneet Kaur Gill, PPS (DR), under transfer as SP Traffic, SAS Nagar, has been posted as SP Special Branch, Hoshiarpur.
The orders, dated September 1, 2026, direct all concerned officers to join their new places of posting immediately. The orders have been issued with the approval of the competent authority.
