Agra’s Adhya Academy Wins 10-Run Thriller Against Patiala

In an exciting start to the Cold Cup tournament, Adhya Cricket Academy (ACA) Agra defeated Black Elephant Cricket Club (BECC) Patiala by 10 runs in the first match, played at Radha Madhav Ground yesterday.

Toss: ACA Agra won the toss and elected to bat first in the 30-over-a-side contest.

Adhya Cricket Academy Agra Innings: 156/4 in 30 overs The innings was powered by a magnificent unbeaten century from Arnav Kureel, who smashed 100 off just 74 balls*, including 18 boundaries (4s). His explosive knock laid a solid foundation and kept the scoreboard ticking aggressively. Supporting him was Arav Jain with a handy 25. The pair built crucial partnerships, helping ACA post a competitive total despite some disciplined bowling from the Patiala side.

Black Elephant Cricket Club Patiala Bowling Highlights:

  • Somya Mishra was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 2 wickets for just 5 runs in a miserly spell.

Black Elephant Cricket Club Patiala Innings: 146 all out in 30 overs Chasing 157, BECC Patiala fought hard but fell short in the end. CS Sandhu top-scored with a gritty unbeaten 48, holding the innings together. Other notable contributions came from Khurshid (33), Jashan (14), and Akshat (11). However, ACA’s bowlers applied consistent pressure to restrict them to 146.
