Aman Arora Slams Pratap Bajwa for Non-Cooperation with Punjab Police, Warns of Accountability for Future Grenade Attacks

Arora Cites 11-Year-Old Letter from Capt. Amarinder Singh Alleging Bajwa’s Ties to Smugglers and Terrorists
Chandigarh, April 13, 2025
At a press conference held at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) headquarters in Chandigarh, Punjab President Aman Arora launched a scathing attack on Leader of the Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa over his recent claim that 50 grenades had entered Punjab. Arora questioned the authenticity of Bajwa’s statement and demanded clarity on its source, accusing him of undermining state security.
“If Bajwa claims 32 grenades are hidden in Punjab, he must know their locations and intended targets. As Leader of the Opposition, it is his duty to share this vital information with the Punjab government and Punjab Police to protect the state and nation,” Arora stated.

He revealed that neither Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann nor the Punjab Police have any such intelligence. “Bajwa’s refusal to assist senior police officials who sought to verify his claims raises serious questions about his possible links to terrorists and Pakistan’s ISI, which have been behind past grenade attacks.”
Arora issued a stern warning: “If any grenade attack occurs in Punjab, Pratap Bajwa will bear full responsibility. He must either disclose details about these alleged 32 grenades or stop making reckless statements to salvage his fading political career.”
He demanded an apology from Bajwa for spreading panic among Punjab’s residents. “Such baseless remarks create fear and unrest, which is unacceptable. Bajwa owes Punjab an apology for his irresponsible behavior.”
Arora also criticized Bajwa’s earlier call to disband the Punjab Police, labeling it corrupt. “This is the same force that wiped out terrorism and swiftly solved cases, like arresting all culprits within 12 hours of the attack at Manoranjan Kalia’s residence.”
Referencing a 2014 letter from former Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh to Sonia Gandhi, Arora highlighted allegations of Bajwa’s connections to drug smugglers and terrorists. “These are not new accusations. Bajwa must clarify his claims and associations to dispel doubts about his conduct.”
The press conference underscored AAP’s push for accountability, with Arora urging Bajwa to cooperate with authorities to ensure Punjab’s safety.
