Dr. Gurdeep Randhawa Takes Charge as Director of Sports at Pbi University, Patiala

Dr. Gurdeep Kaur Randhawa has assumed the charge as Director of Sports at Punjabi University, Patiala, in accordance with the orders of the esteemed Vice-Chancellor. It is noteworthy that she has been serving the department since August 22, 2005, as an Assistant Director/Deputy Director and has also held the position of Director of Sports from 2016 to 2022. During her tenure, the teams of Punjabi University earned accolades in inter-university and national-level competitions, bringing pride to the university on the international stage as well. The university had the privilege of winning the MAKA Trophy 10 times from the 2005-06 session to 2016-17 and continued to secure the top two positions until the 2021-22 session.
On this occasion, Dr. Gurdeep Kaur Randhawa shared her thoughts with everyone, expressing her commitment to making every possible effort for the overall development of the sports department and the betterment of sports and athletes, just as before. She received assurances of full cooperation from sports enthusiasts, officials, and staff of the sports department, who reiterated their resolve to work together to advance this mission. Dr. Randhawa stated that, due to the special efforts of MLA S. Gurlal Singh Ghnaur, she has been given the opportunity to once again take charge as Director of Sports. She pledged to do her utmost to live up to the trust placed in her by the sports community, university authorities, and all stakeholders. The university authorities also extended their heartfelt congratulations on this occasion and assured her of their full support.
