Chandigarh, July 8
The Election Commission of India (ECI), in view of the Jalandhar West by-election, has directed to cancel the parole of Daljit Singh Bhana till the election process is over. Congress and BJP had also filed complaints with the commission to cancel Bhana’s parole.

The Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab has informed the Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar about the instructions of the ECI. The Election Commission has directed that in order to carry out the smooth election process and in view of the complaints received, the parole of Daljit Singh Bhana should be canceled till the completion of the Jalandhar West by-election process.
