Ena Arora has etched her name in Punjab’s sporting history by winning the state’s first-ever fencing medal at the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand. Arora secured a silver medal in the individual Women’s Epee event, held in Haldwani from February 8-13.
An excise and taxation inspector, Arora trains at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) in Patiala. She expressed her gratitude to her coaches, physiotherapist, and staff from NIS and the Department of Excise and Taxation for their unwavering support.

The Punjab Fencing Association acknowledged the crucial support provided by the National Sports Institute, Patiala, including an indoor hall and other necessary assistance for the coaching camp. Among those present at the National Games to congratulate Arora were Rajeev Mehta, Secretary General of the Fencing Association of India (FAI), and Brahm Mohindra, President of the Punjab Fencing Association.
