The Indian men’s hockey team continued their winning streak at the Asian Champions Trophy, securing a comfortable 3-1 victory over South Korea. This fourth consecutive win ensured India’s place in the tournament’s semifinals.
Captain Harmanpreet Singh led the charge for India, scoring a brace to reach the milestone of 200 international goals. The match began with a quick start from India, as Araijeet Singh Hundal opened the scoring in the sixth minute. Harmanpreet followed up with a powerful dragflick just a minute later, giving India a commanding 2-0 lead.

While South Korea managed to reduce the deficit in the second quarter, India’s goalkeeper, Suraj Karkera, put in an impressive performance to keep his team ahead. The match was effectively sealed in the third quarter when Harmanpreet scored his second goal of the game.
India’s next match against Pakistan will be a dead rubber as they have already secured the top spot in the league stage. However, the game will provide an opportunity for the team to fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming semifinals.
