The Indian cricket board has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup, kicking off on July 19th in Sri Lanka. This T20 tournament, held from July 19th to 28th, serves as a crucial warm-up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup later this year.
Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the charge as captain, with Smriti Mandhana as her vice-captain. India finds itself in Group A alongside Nepal, Pakistan, and UAE. Their Asia Cup journey begins on July 19th against Pakistan, followed by matches against UAE and Nepal on July 21st and 23rd, respectively.
The top two teams from each group will battle it out in the semi-finals, with the final scheduled for July 28th. All matches will be played in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.

Apart from the main squad, India has also named four traveling reserves: Shweta Sehrawat, Saika Ishaque, Tanuja Kanwer, and Meghna Singh.
