Kohli and Gogia Unveil ₹95 Lakh Road Projects in Colonies

-Long-Pending Demands of Residents Fulfilled – Ajit Pal Kohli

Patiala, November 12

Giving a fresh impetus to the development of Patiala city, MLA Ajit Pal Singh Kohli and Mayor Kundan Gogia today inaugurated road construction works worth approximately ₹95 lakh in Kaka Colony and Kalar Colony.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kohli said that development projects are being fast-tracked across Patiala to provide better facilities to citizens. “Keeping in view the long-standing demands of residents regarding the poor condition of roads, these projects have been initiated. The new roads will ensure smooth commuting and improve the overall traffic system in the area,” he added.

Mayor Kundan Gogia stated that the Municipal Corporation Patiala has accelerated development works in every ward of the city. He informed that under this project, main streets and connecting lanes in both colonies will get new roads along with an upgraded drainage system. “This will prevent waterlogging during the rainy season and eliminate inconvenience to residents,” the Mayor said.

He emphasized that balanced development of every locality in Patiala is the top priority of the government. MLA Kohli assured residents that all their genuine demands will be fulfilled at the earliest.

Local residents expressed gratitude to the MLA and Mayor, saying these road works will provide relief from problems faced for years. They added that the new roads will enhance the beauty of the area and make daily commuting much easier.

Present on the occasion were MC Jagmohan Chauhan (Ward No. 54), In-charge Rupinder Singh Koch (Ward No. 60), Gobind Badungar, SE Rajinder Chopra, besides a large number of area residents.
