Patiala, February 19
MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli conducted an on-ground review of the registration process under the Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana (Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme) in Wards No. 32, 33, and 41. The scheme, a flagship initiative of the Punjab Government, provides cashless medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh per family per year to eligible residents, ensuring no family faces financial hardship during illness.
During his visit, MLA Kohli interacted directly with beneficiaries to gather feedback on the scheme’s benefits and assessed the ongoing registration efforts. He instructed on-site officials to expedite and streamline the registration process, ensuring it is completed efficiently and smoothly so that every eligible family can avail the benefits without delay.
Highlighting the scheme’s significance, Kohli stated that the Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana is proving to be a major relief for economically weaker sections and all eligible families. He emphasized that the government’s top priority is to ensure registration reaches every deserving household, preventing any financial burden during medical treatment. The Punjab Government is taking multiple steps to deliver better, free healthcare services, and this scheme will benefit thousands of families across the state.
The MLA appealed to local residents who are eligible to get registered immediately and take full advantage of this people-centric welfare scheme. He stressed that timely registration will enable families to access cashless treatment at empanelled government and private hospitals without out-of-pocket expenses.
Present on the occasion were local representatives: MC Ranjit Singh from Ward No. 32, Geeta Rani from Ward No. 33, and Amanpreet Kaur from Ward No. 41. They assured the MLA of their full cooperation and committed to continuing awareness campaigns at the ward level to connect the maximum number of people with the scheme.
This initiative reflects the Punjab Government’s commitment to universal healthcare, making quality medical care accessible and affordable for all residents. Eligible individuals can register using Aadhaar and Voter ID at designated centers, with no income limit applied under the expanded scheme.
