The Punjab government has prolonged the winter break for all government, aided, recognized, and private schools in the state until January 7, 2025, due to ongoing cold weather.
School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains shared the news on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, noting that the decision was taken following guidance from Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, with a focus on safeguarding students’ health and safety amid the frigid conditions. Schools will now resume on January 8, 2025.
