The BECC Under-12 cricket team recently participated in a three-match one-day series against Rana Brothers XI Karnal. Despite a strong opening win, BECC finished as runners-up after losing the following two matches.
Match Highlights:
- Match 1 (October 19): BECC secured a thrilling victory by 1 wicket. Rana Brothers XI Karnal were bowled out for 147 runs in 35 overs. Chasing the target, BECC reached 148 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 34.2 overs.
- Match 2 (October 20): Rana Brothers XI Karnal emerged victorious by 42 runs. They set a target of 209 runs for 8 wickets in 35 overs. BECC could only manage 167 runs before being bowled out in 30.4 overs.
- Match 3 (October 21): Rana Brothers XI Karnal dominated the final match, winning by 84 runs. They scored 181 runs before getting all out in 30 overs. BECC’s batting struggled, as they were dismissed for just 97 runs in 22 overs.
Closing Ceremony: Former SAI cricket coach Pramod Kumar Kush graced the event with his presence and distributed prizes to the players. He also offered encouraging words to the budding cricketers for their future endeavors

Overall, though BECC couldn’t secure the series win, they displayed fighting spirit and valuable experience throughout the competition.
