Master Sunny Kumar delivered a composed and match-defining innings to guide Black Elephant Cricket Club (BECC) to a convincing 33-run victory over Cricket Academy Patiala (CAP) in the final of the 13th Little Champ Cup Cricket Tournament, held today at BECC Ground No. 1, Patiala.
After winning the toss, BECC opted to bat first and posted a competitive total of 142 for 9 in their 35 overs. Sunny Kumar played a fluent and crucial knock of 41 runs, while Atharv Tiwari (32) and Deepak Yadav (32) provided solid support to build the innings. For CAP, Anhsdvir Singh was the pick of the bowlers with impressive figures of 3 for 25, well backed by Sukhpreet (2/26) and Manga (1/26).
Chasing 143, CAP started aggressively but lost steam in the middle overs against BECC’s disciplined bowling attack. The side was eventually bowled out for 109 in 32.1 overs. Divyan Garg top-scored with 19, while Manvir (14) and Pardeep (10) were the other notable contributors. Piyush (3/26), Yash Tiwari (2/16), and Dimpal (2/25) shared the wickets to seal a comfortable win for BECC.
