Addressing a high-level Japanese delegation virtually — comprising the Embassy of Japan, JETRO, JCCII, and senior representatives from over 25 leading Japanese companies including Panasonic, Sumitomo, Nippon, NEC, Toyota, and others — the Chief Minister extended a warm invitation to Japanese industry to partner in Punjab’s next phase of industrial transformation.

Accompanied by Cabinet Minister Mr Sanjeev Arora, the interaction was part of Punjab’s aggressive international outreach in the run-up to the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit, scheduled for March 13–15, 2026, at ISB Mohali.

Showcasing Punjab’s business-friendly ecosystem and the unique “Invest Punjab” single-window model that consolidates approvals across departments, CM Mann emphasised that the state today combines rich human talent, policy stability, and world-class infrastructure with a government fully committed to ease of doing business.

“Punjab and Japan share the same values — trust, discipline, quality, and long-term partnership. Japanese companies already operating here have tasted success, and we want many more to join this journey,” the Chief Minister said.
