The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has declared a whopping cash prize of ₹131 crore for the Indian team following their victorious campaign in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
India clinched the coveted title by defeating New Zealand in the final held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In doing so, they successfully defended the trophy and became the first team in the history of the tournament to retain the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. This triumph also marked India’s third T20 World Cup title, making them the most successful side in the format’s history.
