26 MRSAFPI Cadets Qualify for NDA; 10 Shine in Top-100 All-India Rankings

• Punjab Minister Aman Arora Lauds Cadets, Wishes Them Success in Training and Careers
• 170 Institute Alumni Commissioned as Defence Officers

Chandigarh, April 12

The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) in SAS Nagar (Mohali) has once again showcased its excellence, with 26 cadets securing spots on the UPSC All-India Merit List for the National Defence Academy (NDA)-154 Course, commencing in June 2025. Leading the pack, Cadet Aryan Sofeth from Patiala clinched an impressive 9th rank, while 10 cadets from the institute earned positions among the top 100 nationwide.

Out of 34 cadets who cleared the written exam for the NDA-154 Course, 26 successfully passed the Services Selection Board (SSB) and now await their joining letters.

The standout performers include Aryan Sofeth, Anhad Singh Khatumria, Mohanpreet Singh, Armaanvir Singh Adhi, Bhaskar Jain, Manjot Singh, Nimit Soni, Harkanwal Singh, Udhaybir Singh Nanda, Prjveer Singh, Aditya Mishra, Ranbir Singh, Ishmeet Singh, Ishaan Sharma, Samarvir Singh Heer, Balraj Singh Heera, Abhay Pratap Singh Dhillon, Bhuvan Dhiman, Harmanpreet Singh, Sahib Singh Dhaliwal, and Divanshu Sandhu from the 13th Course, alongside Bhavik Kansal, Gurvanshbir Singh, Ojas Gaint, Shiven Tayal, and Gagandeep Singh from the 12th Course.

Punjab’s Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training Minister, Aman Arora, extended heartfelt congratulations, calling the cadets “Punjab’s pride.” He wished them success in their upcoming training and illustrious careers in the armed forces.

Arora also celebrated the achievements of Cadet Gunjot Singh (7th Course) and Cadet Aryan Dutt (8th Course), selected for the Officer Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, for the Short Service Commission (Technical) 64th Course. Gunjot, from Patiala, is the son of a Thapar University employee, while Aryan, from SAS Nagar, is the son of a retired Indian Navy Commander.

Major General (Retired) Ajay H. Chauhan, VSM, Director of MRSAFPI, highlighted that the institute boasts the highest number of selections for the NDA-154 Course. Since its inception, 255 cadets have joined various service training academies, with 170 alumni commissioned as officers in the Indian Defence Services.
