2,756 Nomination Papers Received for Municipal General Elections Till May 15
Chandigarh, May 16
The State Election Commission, Punjab, informed that a total of 2,756 nomination papers have been received till May 15, 2026, for the Municipal General Elections 2026 pertaining to Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Nagar Panchayats across the state.

- Municipal Corporations: 455 nominations
- Municipal Councils: 1,905 nominations
- Nagar Panchayats: 396 nominations
