In a noble initiative for the welfare of humanity, the Universal Welfare Club Punjab and the Human Welfare Foundation jointly organized the 338th regular blood donation camp at the blood bank of Government Rajindra Hospital in Patiala.
This camp was held to mark the 17th anniversary of Mission Laali and Hariyali (also referred to as Mission Lali and Hariyali) and National Youth Day.
It was formally inaugurated by Karan Kumar from Patiala, who donated blood for the first time at the age of 19. Other notable donors included:
- Sukhjit Singh Basantpura (34th donation)
- Davinder Singh Sanaur (20th donation)
- Pradeep Singh Daun Kalan (18th donation)
- Tarunjit Singh, who traveled specially from Shimla (15th donation)
- Inderjit Singh Patiala (12th donation)
Additional volunteers who donated blood were former Subedar Gurwinder Singh Kulran, Jagtar Gir Shekhupur, Engineer Navjot Singh, Bhupinder Singh Upli, Surjit Singh Parur, contractor Satpal Singh Sanaur, Manjit Singh Panjola, Karma, and Amanpreet Singh Kharabgarh—along with 18 other dedicated participants.
The blood donors were honored with the Golden Star Blood Donor Award. Former DSP officials presented them with certificates and mufflers as tokens of appreciation.

Nahar Singh Majri praised the Mission Laali and Hariyali group, noting that their continuous organization of blood donation camps over the past thirteen and a half years is a highly commendable service. He emphasized that blood is a lifeline for patients in need, and urged healthy individuals to come forward and participate in blood donation efforts.
Master Motivator Hardeep Singh Sanaur highlighted that human blood is a precious liquid that cannot be manufactured in any factory or lab. Thanks to the group’s persistent efforts, free blood supply from government blood banks has been made available for patients admitted to government hospitals since January 1, 2019.
He also issued a strong warning: If any unscrupulous person demands money from a blood donor under the pretext of “donor expenses,” donors should not pay. Instead, they should immediately report the matter to the police or the blood bank in-charge so that such extortion rackets can be exposed and stopped.
