Youth Jobs, No Brain Drain, Explosive Growth: CM Mann’s Powerful Closing Speech at Mohali Summit
“Invest in Punjab – Government Will Provide Complete Backing and Incentives
CM Highlights Summit’s Success in Fostering Industrial Growth, Job Creation, and Economic Revival
SAS Nagar (Mohali), March 15
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today assured global and national entrepreneurs of unwavering government support and attractive incentives, as he addressed the valedictory session of the three-day Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026 in SAS Nagar (Mohali).
The landmark event, held from March 13-15, drew enthusiastic participation from leading industrialists, business tycoons, and investors worldwide. CM Mann praised the summit’s impact, noting that around 30 high-impact brainstorming sessions proved immensely valuable in charting Punjab’s path to accelerated economic growth.
Emphasizing the state’s turnaround under the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, the Chief Minister said: “We inherited a legacy of debt, complaints, pending issues, and poor governance. But we fixed the shortcomings, ended forced MoUs, and put Punjab firmly back on the development track. Today, Punjab offers one of the most conducive environments for business anywhere in the country.”
He highlighted the summit’s role in creating a vibrant ecosystem for industry, stating: “Punjab’s progress is our resolve. We have built the right environment and opportunities for industrial growth. This summit has not just been about discussions—it’s about real partnerships that will drive massive industrialization, generate thousands of jobs for our youth, curb brain drain, and usher in an era of prosperity.”
CM Mann announced that the government would reconvene with investors in six months for a detailed review of project progress and commitments made during the summit. “We will track every proposal to ensure swift implementation,” he added.
Reflecting on Punjab’s unique strengths, the Chief Minister described the state as the nation’s food bowl and sword arm, home to courageous, resilient, and enterprising people with a global footprint. “Punjabis are born leaders—hard work runs in our blood. From humble beginnings, our entrepreneurs have conquered the world, and the government will facilitate every effort to make Punjab a top industrial and export hub.”

He stressed the importance of healthy competition over monopolies, the centrality of the common man in politics (crediting AAP for shifting focus to education, health, and welfare), and the superiority of human intelligence over AI in human resource development. Urging voters to exercise their franchise responsibly, he said: “In democracy, every voice counts—use it for schools, health, and progress, not divisions.”
Addressing youth employment as a priority to combat social issues like drugs, CM Mann called on industrialists to spread the word about Punjab’s ease of doing business, single-window clearances (within 45 days in many cases), and pro-industry policies in sectors like pharmaceuticals, IT, manufacturing, and more.
He thanked Invest Punjab organizers, dedicated officers, and participating captains of industry for making the event a resounding success. Cabinet Ministers Sanjeev Arora, Harbhajan Singh ETO, Barinder Goyal, Chief Secretary KAP Sinha, and other senior officials also addressed the gathering.
The summit, themed around turning policy into practice, has already showcased Punjab’s momentum—with prior years seeing investments rise significantly and fresh commitments emerging during the event. CM Mann concluded: “Our pillars are good governance, digitisation, decisiveness, transparency, and sensitivity. Combined with Punjab’s rich heritage and entrepreneurial spirit, we are ready to make Punjab a global industrial powerhouse.”
This closing address capped a highly successful summit that positions Punjab as an attractive destination for sustainable, job-oriented industrial investment.
