Two exciting matches were played today in the Sunday League at the BECC Ground, with DCA Moga and hosts BECC recording comprehensive victories.
DCA Moga beat Modern School Cricket Academy by 112 Runs
Batting first, DCA Moga posted an impressive 214/3 in 25 overs. The innings was powered by Mankirat (74) and Nischay Dev (66), while Jaban Singh contributed 23 and Gurfeth added 17.
In reply, Modern School Cricket Academy (MSCA) managed 102/7 in 25 overs. Harsh scored 17, Mankirat made 16, and Rayan added 11, but the team never threatened the target.
For DCA Moga, the bowlers kept things tight, with Mukul delivering a brilliant spell of 2/2, while Youraj claimed 1/22 and Rajesh Rana picked up 1/14.
Result: DCA Moga won by 112 runs.
BECC Defeat Sannaur XI by 83 Runs
In the second match, hosts BECC scored 168/5 in 25 overs after electing to bat. Sofyan Ansari remained unbeaten on 57, while Deekshit (21), Seerat (19), and Jashan (19) made useful contributions.
For Sannaur XI, Prithivi was the pick of the bowlers with 2/27, while Anandvir (1/28) and Sahej Veer (1/35) claimed one wicket each.
Chasing 169, Sannaur XI were restricted to 85/3 in 25 overs. Anhadvir fought with an unbeaten 50, and Parnav scored 19, but they fell well short of the target.
BECC’s bowling attack was led by Deekshit, who returned outstanding figures of 2/3, while Sofyan Ansari chipped in with 1/7.
