India produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Zimbabwe by 90 runs in the second T20 International at the Harare Sports Club, taking a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
After being asked to bat, the visitors posted a formidable total on the back of a sensational innings from Ishan Kishan, whose aggressive stroke play put Zimbabwe’s bowlers under constant pressure. The left-handed wicketkeeper-batter dominated the innings with fluent boundaries and fearless hitting, earning him the Player of the Match award.
India’s middle order capitalized on the strong platform, adding valuable runs in the death overs to set Zimbabwe a daunting target.
In reply, Zimbabwe struggled to build partnerships against India’s disciplined bowling attack. The Indian pacers struck early to remove the top order, while the spinners tightened the screws through the middle overs, preventing the hosts from gaining any momentum.
