The Punjab Government’s ambitious ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ project has reached a significant milestone as over 2 crore people have received free treatment from these clinics in just two years.
Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh announced this achievement, highlighting the clinics’ role in providing accessible and affordable healthcare to the people of Punjab. He mentioned that the 842 clinics across the state cater to an average of 58,900 patients daily, offering free medicines, diagnostic tests, and consultations.

The clinics have not only reduced out-of-pocket healthcare expenses by Rs 1030 crores but have also seen a significant increase in female visits, indicating a shift towards gender-inclusive healthcare. Additionally, the clinics have successfully served patients of all age groups, from children to senior citizens
