Punjab AAP President Aman Arora Welcomes All to the Party
Ludhiana/Chandigarh, January 18
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has bolstered its presence in the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, marking a significant setback for the Congress Party. On Saturday, Congress Councillor Mamta Rani, along with senior Congress leaders Balwinder Singh, Mani Ram, and Vishal Dhawan, officially joined AAP. Punjab AAP President and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora welcomed the new members, who expressed their commitment to promoting AAP’s pro-people policies.

This development follows a series of similar shifts. Recently, four newly elected councillors from Ludhiana including two from the Congress, one from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and an independent—joined AAP. With their inclusion, AAP now holds 47 seats in the 95-member Ludhiana Municipal Corporation.
These strategic inductions strengthen AAP’s position in the municipal corporation, enhancing its influence over local governance and development initiatives in Ludhiana.
