
Party President Holds Meetings with Leaders for the Fourth Consecutive Day; Reviews Municipal Councils and Panchayats

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is in full swing preparing for the upcoming municipal elections. AAP Punjab President Aman Arora has been holding continuous meetings for the past four days with party leaders to strategize for the municipal elections, laying out detailed plans for success.
On Sunday, at the party’s Chandigarh office, Aman Arora gathered dozens of office bearers, MLAs, and ministers. The meeting focused on in-depth discussions with regional leaders about municipal councils, committees, and panchayats. Elections are slated for five municipal corporations and 42 municipal councils and committees across the state. AAP has given significant attention not only to municipal corporations but also to smaller councils and committees, ensuring comprehensive preparation.
Key Leaders Present at the Meeting
The meeting was led by Aman Arora and attended by Cabinet Ministers Laljit Singh Bhullar and Hardeep Singh Mundian, former minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra, MP Meet Hayer, and MLAs Baljinder Kaur, Manwinder Singh Giaspura, Dr. Charanjit Singh, Amritpal Singh Sukhanand, Gurinder Singh Garry Waraich, Davinderjit Singh Laddi Dhos, Balkar Singh Sidhu, Vijay Singla, Gurpreet Singh Banawali, Master Jagsir Singh, Gurlal Ghanaur, Jagdeep Singh Brar, Dalvir Singh Tong, Gurdeep Randhawa, and AAP leader Sunny Ahluwalia. Additionally, constituency in-charges, district in-charges, district presidents, and other local party officials involved in election-related areas also participated.
AAP’s Strategy Set
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Aman Arora declared that AAP is fully prepared for the municipal elections. “Over the past few days, we have had extensive discussions with local leaders on all aspects concerning municipal corporations and councils. Our strategy is ready,” he stated confidently.
He added, “People across Punjab’s cities are looking to AAP with high hopes. They are impressed with the work our government has accomplished in the past two and a half years. Now, they want AAP to bring the same positive change in local governance.”

Confident of a Sweeping Victory
Aman Arora expressed his optimism, saying, “With the overwhelming enthusiasm among our party workers and urban residents, I am confident that the Aam Aadmi Party will achieve a landslide victory in these elections.”
Election Dates to be Decided by Commission; Shaheedi Diwas Concerns Raised
Regarding the demand from various parties and organizations to hold the elections after Shaheedi Diwas (Martyrdom Day), Aman Arora revealed that AAP had also raised the issue with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO). “We believe elections should not be held during Shaheedi Diwas. However, the decision rests entirely with the Election Commission,” he said.
He further explained, “The High Court has issued stringent orders concerning municipal elections, placing certain restrictions on the Election Commission. The Commission must adhere to the court’s directives when setting the dates. Therefore, we must wait for the Election Commission’s final decision.”
