AAP Leads in Three Out of Four Punjab Bypoll Seats; Congress Ahead in One

Patiala, November 23:
As per the Election Commission’s updates until 11:30 AM, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is leading in three constituencies—Barnala, Gidderbaha, and Chabbewal—while Congress is ahead in one, Dera Baba Nanak, during the by-elections for four Vidhan Sabha seats in Punjab.

  • Dera Baba Nanak:
    AAP’s Gurdeep Singh Randhawa is leading by 508 votes, with Congress’s Jatinder Kaur Randhawa in second place. Nine of the 18 rounds of counting have been completed.
  • Chabbewal:
    AAP’s Dr. Ishank Kumar is leading by 22,461 votes, followed by Congress’s Ranjit Kumar. Eleven of the 15 rounds of counting have been completed.
  • Gidderbaha:
    AAP’s Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon is ahead by 5,978 votes, with Congress’s Amrita Warring in second place. Four out of 13 rounds have been completed.
  • Barnala:
    Congress’s Kuldeep Singh Dhillon (Kala Dhillon) is leading by 3,304 votes, while AAP’s Harinder Singh Dhaliwal is in second place. Ten of the 16 rounds of counting have been completed.
