AAP Secures Landslide Victories in Punjab’s Municipal Council Elections

A New Chapter in People-Centric Local Governance Unfolds: Aman Arora

Chandigarh, January 9, 2025

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab celebrated remarkable triumphs in the Municipal Council elections across various regions of the state. AAP candidates have been unanimously elected as Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, and Vice Presidents in several municipal councils, reflecting widespread public trust in the party’s leadership and policies.

In Municipal Council Cheema (Sunam), Baljinder Kaur was elected as President, Anju Bala as Senior Vice President, and Manpreet Singh as Vice President.

Municipal Council Mallanwala (Zira) witnessed the election of Karamjeet Kaur as President, Ritu Kakkar as Senior Vice President, and Dharam Singh as Vice President.

For Municipal Council Narot Jaimal Singh (Bhoa), Babli Kumar assumed the role of President, with Manisha Mahajan and Maya Devi elected as Senior Vice President and Vice President, respectively.

In Municipal Council Ghanaur, Mandeep Kaur was elected President, Ankit Sood as Senior Vice President, and Ravi Kumar as Vice President.

Municipal Council Ghagga elected Mitthu Singh as President, Shakti Goyal as Senior Vice President, and Jaswant Singh as Vice President.

Narendra Kataria has been elected President, Anil Dhawan Senior Vice-President, and Neeta Vice-President of Nagar Panchayat Makhu.

For Municipal Council Sanaur, Pardeep Joshan was chosen as President, Narinder Singh Takhar as Senior Vice President, and Kanwaljit Kaur as Vice President.

Municipal Council Devi Garh elected Sawinder Kaur Dhanju as President, Lakhvir Singh Lakhi as Senior Vice President, and Amarjeet Kaur as Vice President.

AAP Punjab President Aman Arora extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected leaders.
