In the final stages of counting for the Punjab by-elections in four constituencies—Barnala, Gidderbaha, Dera Baba Nanak, and Chabbewal—AAP candidate Gurdeep Singh Randhawa emerged victorious from Dera Baba Nanak with a margin of 5,699 votes. He defeated Congress candidate Jatinder Kaur Randhawa.

- Gurdeep Singh Randhawa (AAP): 59,104 votes
