Indian opener Abhishek Sharma and spinner Varun Chakravarthy have made significant gains in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings following India’s 4-1 series victory over England.
Abhishek Sharma’s explosive 135-run innings off just 54 balls in the final match at Wankhede Stadium propelled him a remarkable 38 spots up the rankings to second position. He now sits behind only Travis Head of Australia, surpassing fellow Indian Tilak Varma.

Varun Chakravarthy also climbed to second place in the T20I bowlers’ rankings, gaining three positions. His consistent performance, including two wickets each in the final two matches, contributed to his ascent. Chakravarthy’s 14 wickets in the series were the most by any player, placing him joint-second with England’s Adil Rashid.

Several other players also saw improvements in their rankings. Among batsmen, Harry Brook rose three places to 42nd, while Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, and Ben Duckett also advanced. In bowling, Ravi Bishnoi moved from 10th to 6th, Saqib Mahmood jumped 28 places to 57th, Mark Wood went up nine places to 60th, and Brydon Carse rose 62 places to 66th.
