Sri Lanka Cricket has announced a strong squad for the upcoming T20I series against India, with Charith Asalanka taking over the captaincy from Wanindu Hasaranga. Hasaranga stepped down from the role following a disappointing T20 World Cup campaign.
The three-match series will be played in Pallekele, with the first match scheduled for July 27.
The squad sees the return of experienced batsman Dinesh Chandimal, while several other players, including Sadeera Samarawickrama and Dilshan Madhushanka, have been dropped.
