The ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2025 has officially begun in Malaysia, and the Australian team has made a powerful statement on the opening day.
The action kicked off with Australia facing Scotland, and the Aussies quickly asserted their dominance. After winning the toss and electing to bowl, they bowled out Scotland for a paltry 48 runs. Caoimhe Bray, named Player of the Match, claimed 1-3 off 3.1 overs, while Eleanor Larosa (7-3 off 3) and Hasrat Gill (10-2 off 2) were equally impressive.
The Australian chase was equally impressive. They swiftly reached the target in 6.4 overs, with Kate Pelle’s blistering 29* off 18 balls powering them to a nine-wicket victory.
