Big Boost for Talwandi Sabo! CM Mann Inaugurates Modern Sub-Divisional Complex

Talwandi Sabo (Bathinda), April 13

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann inaugurated a state-of-the-art Sub-Divisional Complex in Talwandi Sabo, providing all essential government services under one roof and replacing a 40-year-old dilapidated building.

After paying obeisance at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, CM Mann dedicated the new three-storey complex, built at a cost of nearly ₹6 crore, to the people of Talwandi Sabo and surrounding areas.

Key Features of the New Complex:

  • 28 spacious rooms
  • Easy Registry Office
  • SDM and Tehsildar Courts
  • Fard Centre
  • Treasury Office
  • Record Room
  • Canteen
  • High-speed internet in all offices
  • Elevator facility for public convenience

Speaking on the occasion, CM Mann said the old building had become extremely unsafe and posed a constant risk to life and property. The new modern complex will ensure faster, transparent, and hassle-free delivery of services to residents.

Taking to X, the Chief Minister posted: “Today, at the sacred land of Talwandi Sabo, we inaugurated the new Sub-Divisional Complex built at a cost of approximately ₹6 crore. This three-storey building with 28 rooms houses SDM Court, Tehsildar Court, Fard Centre, Record Room, Treasury Office and Canteen — all under one roof. Every office has high-speed internet and an elevator has been provided for the convenience of the people.”

He added that this complex will prove to be a boon for the people of Talwandi Sabo and nearby villages by delivering government services with speed, transparency, and ease.

CM Mann emphasised that the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening grassroots governance by building modern, citizen-centric infrastructure across the state. He criticised previous governments for neglecting such important public facilities and said his government is giving top priority to works that directly benefit the people.

Baisakhi Greetings & Important Announcement

On the sacred occasion of Baisakhi, CM Mann extended greetings to the people of Punjab and the nation. He recalled the historic creation of the Khalsa Panth by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on April 13, 1699, at Sri Anandpur Sahib and urged everyone to uphold the values of equality, brotherhood, and social justice.

He also announced that the Punjab Government will introduce the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Bill, 2026 in a special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on April 13. The bill proposes stringent punishment, including life imprisonment, for acts of sacrilege (beadbi) against Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and other holy scriptures to protect religious sentiments and maintain communal harmony.

The inauguration of the Sub-Divisional Complex marks a significant step towards modernising governance and improving public service delivery in Talwandi Sabo.
