Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann handed over cheques worth ₹1 crore each to the families of five police personnel who were martyred while performing their duties. The event took place on the sidelines of a passing-out parade held here on Sunday.
The financial assistance was provided to the families of martyrs ASI (Late) Balwinder Singh , ASI (Late) Naseeb Chand , ASI (Late) Anil Kumar , Head Constable Manjinder Singh , and Constable Inderjit Singh , who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann emphasized that this initiative by the state government is a humble gesture to honor the immense contributions of these brave individuals who dedicated their lives to maintaining law and order in Punjab.
