CM Honours Police Personnel with Chief Minister Rakshak Padak and Devotion to Duty Medals

– Felicitates Participants and Notable Individuals During Republic Day Celebrations

Patiala, January 26

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann honored police officers, officials, and individuals from various walks of life for their outstanding contributions to society and the state during the Republic Day celebrations in Patiala.

The Chief Minister presented the Chief Minister Rakshak Padak to Assistant Sub Inspectors Manna Singh and Rajinder Singh, Lady Senior Constable Kulwinder Kaur, Punjab Home Guard Gurdeep Singh, and Senior Constable Gurpreet Singh.

He also awarded the Chief Minister’s Medal for Outstanding Devotion to Duty to several police personnel, including Superintendents of Police Navreet Singh Virk, Jasmeet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Digvijay Kapil, and Harinder Singh; Commandant Parampal Singh; AIG Avneet Kaur Sidhu; Deputy Superintendent of Police Samarpal Singh; Inspectors Pran, Pritpal Singh, Sukhminder Singh, and Manfool Singh; Sub Inspectors Rajesh Kumar, Parminder Singh, Jugal Kishore Sharma, and Sumit Aeri; Assistant Sub Inspector Harpal Singh; Head Constable Mukhjit Singh; and CII Simranjit Singh.

The Chief Minister also recognized Parade Commander Vaneet Ahlawat, IPS, and Second-in-Command Ramanpreet Singh Gill, PPS.

Prominent individuals from various fields were also honored, including retired Civil Surgeon Dr. Jatinder Kansal, Dr. Jagpal Inder, Rajindra Hospital MS Dr. Girish Sahni, Dr. Satish Kumar, Dr. Sanjeev Arora, Dr. Krishav Garg, AM Jogi, Dhanjit Kaur, Ankit Singla, Bal Krishna Singla, and others.

Special recognition was given to the families of martyrs, including Shaheed Sipahi Bhupinder Singh, Shaheed Gunner Amrik Singh, Shaheed Nayak Rajwinder Singh, Shaheed Hawaldar Mukhtiar Singh, and Shaheed Nayak Harjinder Singh, who sacrificed their lives during Operation Rakshak of the Indian Army.

Additionally, certificates were presented to Mangal Singh, Virjesh Kumar, and Amandeep Singh under the FARISHTEY Scheme, recognizing their contributions to humanitarian efforts.

This year’s Republic Day celebrations highlighted not only the achievements of law enforcement and administrative officials but also the efforts of everyday heroes and martyrs who have significantly contributed to the welfare and security of Punjab.
