CM Mann Continues to Expand Healthcare Revolution with 30 New Aam Aadmi Clinics

Chauke (Bathinda), September 23
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann inaugurated 30 more Aam Aadmi Clinics, bringing the total number of operational clinics to 872. The 30 new clinics are located in Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, Mansa, Moga, Patiala, SAS Nagar, and Sri Muktsar Sahib.
The Chief Minister highlighted the clinics’ role in providing high-quality primary healthcare services. He mentioned that 80 types of medicines and 38 diagnostic tests are offered free of cost. The clinics have witnessed significant footfall, with over 2.07 crore patients receiving treatment so far.

Over 72 lakh diagnostic tests have been conducted free of cost, leading to a reduction in out-of-pocket healthcare expenses by Rs 1050 crore. The state government has launched a campaign to ensure drug availability at secondary health facilities.

CMOs and SMOs have been authorized to procure drugs locally, while centralized procurement is also being strengthened. This initiative has saved patients approximately Rs 102.98 crore.
Free X-ray and ultrasound facilities are available at all secondary healthcare facilities. 512 private centers have been empaneled to provide these services at government-fixed rates. The number of daily ultrasounds has increased from 650 to 1,350, and X-rays have risen from 3,000 to 4,200. Over 7.52 lakh patients have utilized these services.
