Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann extended his heartfelt wishes to Indian cricket stars Shubhman Gill , the Vice-Captain and ace batsman, and Arshdeep Singh , the talented fast bowler, ahead of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy . The cricketers visited the Chief Minister at his official residence in Chandigarh on Friday afternoon.
During their meeting, the Chief Minister lauded the exceptional performances of both players on national and international platforms, acknowledging the pride and honor they have brought to Punjab and the country. He highlighted Shubhman Gill’s pivotal role in India’s journey as runners-up in the recent One Day World Cup, as well as his outstanding performance in the recently concluded series against England. Similarly, he praised Arshdeep Singh for his match-winning contributions that played a key role in India’s victory in the T20 World Cup.
