CM Mann Lays Foundation Stone for DAC Expansion in Moga

Moga, January 19

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today laid the foundation stone for the expansion of the District Administrative Complex (DAC) in Moga. The project, involving the construction of the third and fourth floors of the existing building, will be undertaken at a cost of Rs 10.31 crore and is expected to be completed within eight months.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that this expansion will address the space constraints currently faced by various government offices within the DAC. He noted that the existing complex, comprising four blocks (A, B, C, and D), was constructed in 2004.

The expansion will include the construction of 48 rooms, separate toilet blocks for men and women on both floors, a new lift with a capacity of 13 persons, and a comprehensive CCTV surveillance system for enhanced security. The building will also be equipped with a 95 KW Solar Power Generation System to promote the use of renewable energy.

Chief Minister Mann highlighted the previous government’s neglect of such important public infrastructure projects. He emphasized that his government is prioritizing projects that serve the needs of the people and ensure the sustainable development of the state.

This expansion project will not only improve the working conditions for government employees but also enhance the overall efficiency and service delivery to the public.
