Tokyo, Osaka & Seoul roadshows from 2–9 December ahead of Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026

Chandigarh, 1 December 2025

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will lead a high-level state delegation to Japan (2–5 Dec) and South Korea (8–9 Dec) in the first major international outreach mission ahead of the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit (PPIS 2026), scheduled for 13–15 March 2026 at ISB Mohali.

Accompanied by Industries & Commerce Minister Sanjeev Arora, senior officials, and the Invest Punjab team, the CM will personally invite top Japanese and Korean conglomerates, hold one-on-one business meetings, and host investment roadshows in Tokyo (2–3 Dec), Osaka (4–5 Dec), and Seoul (8–9 Dec).

The visit is being organised in close coordination with the Indian Embassies in Tokyo and Seoul, Invest India, DPIIT, and the Embassies of Japan & South Korea in New Delhi.

Key focus areas for investors:

  • Mobility, electronics & ESDM, semiconductors
  • Auto components, food processing, chemicals
  • Green energy, IT/ITeS, textiles, advanced manufacturing

The delegation will showcase:

  • ₹1.4 lakh crore of on-ground investments already facilitated
  • India’s most advanced single-window system – FastTrack Punjab (173+ G2B services, auto-deemed approvals)
  • Upcoming Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) Rajpura
  • 100% quality power, skilled workforce, seamless NCR & port connectivity
  • 24 industry-led sectoral committees shaping future policies

CM Mann stated: “Our message is simple – Punjab offers policy stability, speed of decisions, and a government that works as a true partner of industry. We are not just inviting investment; we are building long-term partnerships based on trust and mutual growth.”

Minister Sanjeev Arora added: “This mission will deepen ties with existing Japanese & Korean investors in Punjab while positioning the state as North India’s gateway for high-tech, high-value manufacturing and innovation.”

The delegation will also engage with the Indian diaspora in all three cities to strengthen people-to-people and cultural linkages.

This follows successful pre-summit engagements with GCC & CIS diplomats in New Delhi and domestic roadshows in Gurugram, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

Invest Punjab expects the Japan–Korea mission to generate firm commitments from global majors and position Japan and South Korea as Partner Countries for PPIS 2026.
