CM Urges 26 Newly Selected UPSC Officers to Promote Punjab’s Rich Culture Nationwide

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, urged the 26 newly selected Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) candidates to lead by example and serve as brand ambassadors for Punjab’s rich culture and heritage across the country.

During an interaction at his official residence, the Chief Minister congratulated the candidates for their outstanding success, attributing it to their dedication, hard work, and perseverance. He noted that the candidates will now be assigned cadres and postings based on their merit and encouraged them to carry the essence of Punjab to their new workplaces, no matter where they are posted.

Highlighting the traits of Punjabis—known for their hard work, resilience, and innovation—CM Mann urged the officers to leave a lasting impression of their state at their workplaces. He emphasized the importance of performing their duties with sincerity, honesty, dedication, and professional commitment. Mann added that their induction would bring fresh energy to the administration, boosting the nation’s development.

Expressing optimism, the Chief Minister said these officers would elevate the country to new heights of glory. He congratulated them for clearing the UPSC exam, noting that out of over 5 lakh aspirants, 14,627 qualified for the mains, 2,845 were shortlisted for interviews, and 1,009 were finally selected as officers, with 26 hailing from Punjab.

CM Mann emphasized that the selection process was entirely merit-based, transparent, and fair, from the exam’s conduct to the final appointments. Wishing them a successful career and a bright future, he encouraged the officers to serve society with enthusiasm and dedication, ensuring the effective implementation of government policies and programs to fulfill public aspirations. He also assured the newly recruited officers of full support and cooperation in the future to help them excel in their roles.

The event was attended by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Ravi Bhagat, Special Principal Secretary Kumar Amit, and other dignitaries.
