The counting for the by-elections in Punjab’s four constituencies—Barnala, Gidderbaha, Dera Baba Nanak, and Chabbewal—has reached its final stages. From Barnala, Congress candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhillon (Kala Dhillon) emerged victorious, defeating his opponent from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Harinder Singh Dhaliwal, by a margin of 2,157 votes.

Kuldeep Singh Dhillon secured 28,254 votes, while Harinder Singh Dhaliwal received 26,097 votes. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Kewal Singh Dhillon, finished third with 17,958 votes. - NOTA Votes:
Notably, 618 votes were cast under the “None of the Above” (NOTA) option in the constituency.
This victory marks a significant win for Congress in the Barnala constituency.
