Cricket players from Patiala’s Cricket Hub have showcased exceptional talent in the recent Vijay Merchant Trophy, representing the Punjab Under-16 cricket team.
Kamal Sandhu, coach of Cricket Hub Patiala, shared that three players from their academy have made significant contributions to the team’s success. Sakshiya Khurana, a bowler, claimed an impressive 32 wickets in 8 matches. Captain Umesh Gill scored a remarkable 448 runs in 8 matches, including a stunning 189 runs in the semi-final against Madhya Pradesh, leading Punjab to a victory and a spot in the finals. Sahibjotveer Singh, another player from Cricket Hub, contributed with 35 wickets in 7 matches. In the final against Uttar Pradesh, he claimed 6 wickets for 98 runs in 26 overs and also scored a brilliant 47 runs.
