Dr. Varmi, Harpreet Sandhu Inspire Youth with 88th Blood Donation

Dr. Rakesh Varmi and Harpreet Singh Sandhu, through their 88th blood donations, motivated young people to contribute to society by donating blood at a camp organized in Patiala. Held under the patronage of Dr. Varmi, founder of Dedicated Brothers Group (DBG) Punjab, the blood donation camp took place at the Table Tennis Hall of Rajindra Gymkhana Mahindra Club, Barandari, in memory of S. Tarjit Singh Sandhu.

The event, supported by DBG Punjab, New Women Empowerment, Maharaja Group, Committed Brigade, Rajindra Gymkhana Mahindra Club, DCB Bank, and Amar Hospital, saw 212 donors participate. A highlight was Dr. Varmi and Harpreet Singh Sandhu, DBG’s General Secretary, each donating blood for the 88th time.

Dr. Varmi encouraged youth, stating that healthy individuals aged 18 to 65, with hemoglobin levels of at least 12 grams and a weight above 45 kg, are eligible to donate. Harpreet Singh Sandhu shared that the camp, held annually on his father S. Tarjit Singh Sandhu’s death anniversary, draws inspiration from his father’s legacy as a noted social worker.

Prominent Patiala personalities attended, boosting donor morale. Volunteers, including Dilpreet Singh Bainipal, Eng. Sanchit Bansal, Gaurav Garg, Ashu Sukhija, Muhammad Ramzan Dhillon, Vikas Goel, Manjit Singh Poorba, Amrish Kumar, Jatin Goel, Fakir Chand Mittal, Meenu Sodhi, Ruchi Narula, Paramjit Kaur, Manjit Kaur Azad, Rajni Bhargav, Sunita Kumari, Paramjit Kaur Chawla, and Jaspreet Singh Preet, ensured the camp’s success. Notable attendees included Dr. Manmohan Singh, Dr. Sukhdeep Singh Boparai, Deepak Company, Hardeep Singh Badungar, Jaswinder Singh Tiwana, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Mayor Kundan Gogia, former Mayor Sanjeev Sharma Bitu, Kamal Ali Khan, and Gurwinder Kansal, among others.

Fakir Chand Mittal, Public Relations Officer of DBG, provided details of the event, emphasizing its impact on community service and youth engagement.
