Eight More Cadets from Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI Join NDA and Other Defence Academies

Eight more cadets from the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI) in SAS Nagar have successfully secured admission to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other prestigious defence academies. Notably, Cadet Navjot Singh Gill achieved an impressive 11th rank in the All India merit.
Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora extended his congratulations to the cadets and highlighted the institute’s remarkable success. With these eight new additions, the total number of cadets joining various service training academies since the institute’s inception has reached 237. Additionally, a commendable 160 alumni of MRSAFPI have already been commissioned as officers in the Defence Services.
Minister Arora expressed the state government’s unwavering commitment to supporting the aspirations of Punjab’s youth who dream of serving the nation in the armed forces. He emphasized the institute’s exceptional performance, boasting a selection rate of 56.64%, which is the highest among similar institutions in the country.

Major General Ajay H. Chauhan (Retd), Director of MRSAFPI, lauded the cadets’ achievements and encouraged them to excel in their chosen path. He also mentioned that the institute is currently conducting Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews and several cadets have already been recommended.
The institute’s consistent success in producing future defence officers is a testament to its dedicated faculty and the rigorous training provided to the cadets.
