Empowering Women: The New Leadership of Punjab Commission

Chandigarh, October 23

The Punjab State Women Commission welcomed its newly appointed Senior Vice-Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and 10 members, who officially assumed their roles today.

 Raj Lali Gill, Chairperson of the Commission, announced that Rupinder Kaur Gill from Bathinda has taken charge as Senior Vice-Chairperson, while Geeta Gill from Ajnala has assumed the role of Vice-Chairperson.

Additionally, the following 10 members joined the Commission today:

  • Navjot Kaur (Hoshiarpur)

  • Krishna Devi (Jalandhar)

  • Jaswinder Kaur (Bathinda)

  • Ajinderpal Kaur (Ludhiana)

  • Swaranjit Kaur (Mohali)

  • Sunita Rani (Bathinda)

  • Sukhbir Kaur (Amritsar)

  • Rekha Mani Sharma (Pathankot)

  • Virpal Kaur Chahal (Patiala)

  • Amrit Puri (Ludhiana)

 Gill extended her congratulations to the new appointees and urged them to work with dedication to promote the welfare and empowerment of women across Punjab.
