Dedicated to women’s empowerment and the promotion of Punjabi culture, the Eqbal Inn Ladies Club hosted a vibrant celebration of ‘Teej Patiale Di’ at the premises of Hotel Eqbal Inn in Patiala. Approximately 300 women members from within and outside the city participated in the event, held under the leadership of Kamalpreet Singh Sethi, Managing Director of Hotel Eqbal Inn.
Event Highlights
MD Sethi emphasized the club’s commitment to fostering social and cultural upliftment for its members since its inception. He stated, “The Eqbal Inn Ladies Club is dedicated to empowering women by organizing events that promote sisterhood while providing opportunities for business and employment.” He highlighted the dual responsibilities of women in managing households and contributing to family finances, either by supporting their husbands’ businesses or pursuing careers. Amid their busy schedules, the club offers platforms for women to recharge and reconnect with their cultural roots.
The ‘Teej Patiale Di’ event featured Punjabi folk dances centered on the Teej festival, along with traditional lok khedan (folk games). Women adorned in vibrant Punjabi attire, including phulkari, parande, and tikkas, participated with enthusiasm. The event also showcased traditional Punjabi culinary delights such as kheer poore and maal poore, adding to the festive spirit.

Special Moments
Dimpy Sethi, wife of Kamalpreet Singh Sethi, and Seeba Sethi presented sandhaaras (traditional gifts) to the participants, enhancing the cultural significance of the occasion.
