Parmar, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Law & Order, Punjab, and includes Sandeep Malik, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, and Manpreet Singh, PPS, Superintendent of Police, Rural, SAS Nagar. Constituted by the Director, Bureau of Investigation, Punjab, the SIT has been tasked with conducting daily investigations, collecting evidence, and pursuing legal action against those responsible.
Strict Action Against Accused Police Officials
A Punjab Police spokesperson confirmed that decisive measures have been taken against the implicated officials. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Patiala Range, has been directed to immediately transfer all 12 concerned police officials out of District Patiala to safeguard the investigation’s integrity. Additionally, these officials have been placed under suspension, and departmental proceedings for major punishment have been initiated.
